samsung 1400 blu Ray Harmon kardon issues

MY HK will only play PCM. I've change the blu ray to bitstream. I have the blue ray going to the tv via hdmi, then from TV to my HK via optical. Will not play dolby digital. tried everything, and read everything. I am new to the forum thanks in advance.

Hmm, what model Harmon Kardon do you have? Have you tried setting your Samsung 1400 to decode all the audio codecs internally and sending as PCM over HDMI, then connecting your Blu-ray player to the A/V receiver first via HDMI then out to the TV from the A/V receiver via HDMI? This of course assumes your A/V receiver can do HDMI switching.
