    Unhappy Sony BDP S370

    Hi ,

I recently brought Sony BDP S370 blue ray plaer . Player is connected to my LCD TV using HDMI cable . I have analog amplifier . I have connected cable to my analog amplifier , now i am getting sound in my both analog amplifier and LCD TV . How do i get sound out put on my analog amplifier only instead of LCD TV as analog amplifier sound is better than LCD TV.

Please help , not getting answers through google.

Well assuming that you connected the player's analog outputs directly to your amplifier (and not through the TV), the simplest solution is to turn down the volume on your TV when watching Blu-rays and DVDs.

From your user manual, it doesn't look like there is a setting in your player to turn HDMI audio OFF, but you can check your TV's set-up menu to se if there is a setting to disable the internal TV speakers. You will need to turn this back on whenever you watn to use the TV's built in speakers.

    Good luck,
