Hi there,
First, I want to say that I DID read and follow the instructions on the March 2009 "thread: How to Get PC Streaming to Work on Samsung BD-P3600/BD-P4600" to a tee.
I recently purchased this blu-ray and can not seem get the PC streaming feature to work no matter what I do!
I have a router with one PC wired in directly, running on Windows 7.
I have one laptop running on Windows Vista.
All three of these devices are connected to the network. I also tried going in to the control panel to "add a wireless device," but I can't seem to "find it" to add it. (Maybe this is not necessary?)
Both the PC and the laptop have "successfully" opened shared folders. (Both the PC/laptop can see each other's shared folders)
The Samsung blu-ray is connected to the network (I have tested the connection)
It does pick up the shared folders, however, it WILL NOT allow access. (BTW, yes the PC/laptop are powered "on" at the time)
When I have to enter the user & password (because apparently the first time you connect, you need to set it up) it says incorrect user or password. Even though I know it is correct (I even changed them both to four letter each, all lower case).
I even set up a "non-administrative" second user on the laptop, just in case. Still no luck.
And, yes, the firewall is also turned off.
Upon contacting Samsung via e-mail, the only reply I received was "make the user & password shorter." WTF?!
Anyhow, dos anyone have any suggestions? This isn't rocket science and I am not a complete tech-illiterate!
Thanks in advance!
