Hi All,
Forgive me if this exact problem has been covered. I did a brief search of the entire thread and didn't find it, but it's possible.
I recently got a BD-1250 combination blu ray surround sound system and I'm using Vista Home service pack 2. I followed the instructions in the original post and with a little extra tweaking (it ONLY worked when I shared the entire C drive) I was able to access my files. However, when I choose music or photos I'm able to navigate and play/view the appropriate files, but when I choose video I get the message "Program not found" and am unable to navigate. I have many videos on the drive of many different file types, including .mkv, .avi, .mp4, etc. I simply can't navigate to the point where I can watch them.
I decided to save an .avi to a USB drive and see if it would read off of that, but the file did not appear when I viewed the contents of the drive.
This leads me to believe there is a problem with my device's ability to read any video file, which seems odd because others are able to make it happen.
As far as I can tell my firmware is up to date.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
