URC-Digital R50 Remote and Samsung Devices

I have a Samsung LCD TV and a Samsung 1600 BluRay disk player. I just acquired teh URC Digital R50 Universal Remote Control, and was told that there are no codes for BluRay players for the URC controllers, and I would have to do the individual functions via Remote to remote. Does anyone have any experience with this setup or the codes? Tnx

Someone gave you bad information. Blu-ray Player codes are under the "DVD Player" category. There is no dedicated Blu-ray category but I had no problem finding Panasonic Blu-ray player codes under "DVD Player" and I suspect you will find Samsung Blu-ray player codes there if you look.
