Default review for Sony BDP-N460 bluray player?

Just wondering if Mr Boylan will be posting a review here soon.
I'm looking for a dvd player mainly for standard dvds, with the option to play Blu-ray and Netflix. The Panny BD60 doesn't do Netflix, and the LG BD370 review indicated a video issue (unless a firmware update fixed it?). Hoping maybe this Sony is the answer. I'll be using it with a Sony HDTV.

The Sony N460 Blu-ray player is currently with one of our writers for review but he just got it a few days ago so it might be a week or two before a complete review is ready.

As far as Netflix-streaming Blu-ray players, I like the LG BD 390 (with me for review now) and the Samsung BD-P3600. For entry-level players, the Samsung BD-P1600 isn't too shabby either. Much improved over the BD-P1500 in upconversion quality.

You can check out our buyer's guide for the high level view of the current players. We'll also be posting deals there on these players as they come up:

    Hope that helps.

Thanks, I look forward to the reviews. I clicked on the entry level Samsung but noticed it got several recent bad reviews on Amazon (they seem like legit complaints). It's always something.
One other question - newer standard-dvd Ntsc players could play region-stripped PAL format dvdr without any judder (at least the Pioneer 400 series could). Can most Blu-ray players play them accurately too?

Sorry - can't answer the question about region-stripped PAL discs as this is not part of our testing. I know Blu-ray players tend to be much stricter/more stringent with regional restrictions on Blu-ray Discs, but I'm not sure how they treat DVDs.
