My beef is with the Writer of the story. David Kempler where does he come off saying things like if Sylvester Stallone in the cast its pretty much guaranteeed a non oscar. I totally disagree if stallone was in the film he'd steal the scenes away. Ye of little faith David Kempler.
Sylvester Stallone has made two great icons not one but two. With ROCKY and RAMBO say what you will about him. But I'd support him every time he comes out to bat. Rocky too won best picture Oscar . So before you count the man out it aint over till the final bell.

That is true, but he's never actually won an Oscar and he hasn't even been nominated for one in, what, 30 years? I for one would hardly consider Stallone a serious actor worthy of Oscar consideration. I don't think he's proven that over his career beyond the first Rocky.![]()

Dear Rubyred,
I never stated that Mr. Stallone was not good at taking steroids. If there were Oscars doled out for who could take the most corticosteroids, Sylvester would be another Merryl Streep. Rocky and Rambo have accumulated a legion of fans but so what. There are hundreds of similar films that have rabid fans. I don't expect Saw 17 to capture too many Oscars either.
Tossing out the multiple Rockys and Rambos, we are left with the following:
Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003)
Shade (2003/I)
Avenging Angelo (2002)
D-Tox (2002)
Driven (2001)
Get Carter (2000)
Cop Land (1997)
The Good Life (1997)
Daylight (1996)
Assassins (1995)
Judge Dredd (1995)
The Specialist (1994)
Demolition Man (1993)
Cliffhanger (1993)
Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992)
Oscar (1991)
Tango & Cash (1989)
Lock Up (1989)
Over the Top (1987)
Cobra (1986)
Rhinestone (1984)
Victory (1981)
Nighthawks (1981)
Paradise Alley (1978)
F.I.S.T (1978)
Farewell, My Lovely (1975)
Death Race 2000 (1975)
Capone (1975)
Is there another major celebrity/actor with a less impressive film resume, other than maybe Paris Hilton?
Again, if Stallone is in an upcoming film, the odds are stinker. Eventually he will be in a good film because he will reach an age as an older gentleman where some director puts him in a self-deprecating, sad role and people will scream about how talented he is. He might get an Oscar then. Otherwise, forget it.
