Often-histrionic, quasi-Gothic entry in the long line of "evil child" movies suffers from an identity crisis. It's not quite horror, not quite a thriller and not quite worth seeing.

I have to disagree. The beginning did drag a bit, however, the ending had a very unexpected twist and it was really interesting to see how the movie touched the lines of what children are allowed to do in films.
