I'm new to this site but I did see one thread from a lady who is/was befuddled over what big scree would be he "best buy"...my 2 cents says it won't be at Best Buy...her dream machine awaits her on the shelf at her closest Costco. $1499 for a VIZIO 550XVT 1080p/120hz LCD...add the Vizio Sound Bar and unless you live in a sound proof home or way out in the bush you will have as much great 5.1 surround sound with room popping wireless subwoofer than most "normals" can handle...cost $249 yup, also at Costco? Here is the best part of doing business at Costco...you don't like or want the Vizio (or any other TV for that matter) just watch and mark your calendar for the 89th day and return it..no questions asked. Attach your dream machine to a Dish VIP722DVR (or VIP922), plug a $130. Seagate Showcase 500 High Def expander (to archive upwards of 90+ high def programs off of your Dish DVR receiver), use the idiot proof USB connection, grab a beer, popcorn, martooni, kool aid, whatever and you will have as good as the best ,if not THE best in, resolution and high def sound that money can buy...none of this is important unless super high quality and least cost matters to you. Trust me on this. Its da Twooth!
