Hi Chris, The lady from my church gave the go-ahead fot DTV install.
Can we get it "NO CHARGE" for the install?

PS She is also buying another TV.
She wants a 26inch for the guest room.

Seems like the deal they're offering right now is to lock in a low price for a year at $34.99/month and it does include professional installation. Here's the link:

    DIRECTV: DIRECTV - Best Offer

Amazon has pretty goods deals on a few 26-inchers:

    Our Best HDTVs Under $499

Best value is probably the Toshiba 26AV502R for $356 (have to put it in your cart to see the price). But the Samsung LN26B460 will give you a little better picture quality for around $450. And if she wants to stay Sony, they have a 26-inch Sony for $495. These are all 720p models which is perfectly fine with such a small screen size.

    Good luck!

    You mean this one?

    Amazon.com: Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L26X1 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV: Electronics

Also a good choice, and not a bad price either.

Happy Wiring! I am finally sending my BD80 review sample back to Panasonic. But I do have a DMP-BD70V now for review which is... interesting...

    VHS tapes @ 1080p baby!

No, I didn't ask "What are you wiring?" because it sound too much like an obscene phone call, but with a slight Australian accent.

So... Don... What are you wiring?

I am wiring/rewiring an 0 Guage model Railroad.
I've been building this one for a Doctor, for over 5 years. VERY large model Railroad on the third story of his large home.
The third story houses his home theater and his Railroad. He and his family are in Japan, which allows me to work uninterupted.

Now that I'm retired, it's what I do to earn extra cash.

That actually sounds like a fun way to make some extra money. Are you putting in a secret remote kill switch in case his check bounces?

Glad I carry my tools with me....

Direct TV sent out a near 300 lb INSTALL tech. He looked the job over and determined he would have to get one wire from one bedroom to the input point of the house system where he would mount the Multiswitch.

He got stuck in the crawl space opening...I pulled him out!

He did not carry a Steel snake with him, but I had one in my car that I use on model Railroading wiring jobs.

Long story/short version; I snaked the wires, he left after opening the receiver boxes and plugging them in, saying he would return the next day at 1 PM.
Never showed. Another installer showed up at 4:30 PM. Finished at 6PM.

Since this was a referral, the new customer and I were each supposed to get $100.00....bottom line we each get $200.00 because the install company screwed up
