I try to buy this at BB online. you can add it to cart but can't check out.
no pickup(unavailable) & no delivery at any location in Texas or Louisana.

We'll have to wait & see I guess.

I saw a few orders for it successfully go through via our affiliate links - nine to be precise (actually nineteen when I checked later today). But there definitely should have been more based on the traffic we've seen to that page. So you are probably right about limited stock. For under $800, I'm not surprised.

Wal-Mart is going to have it for the same price on Black Friday or possibly earlier. We'll be updating the links on our Black Friday Deals page as we find out more. The more we can help people avoid the Black Friday in-store madness, the better. Hey, you might have to get up early but at least you can shop with your pajamas on.

BTW, the best deal I can find right now on a 1080p 50-inch plasma is Panasonic's TH-50PZ80U at OneCall for $1284 with free shipping (no tax to most states).

    Panasonic 50-inch 1080p plasma: $1283.94 shipped (TH-50PZ80U)

This pretty much blows away any of the comparably priced LCDs in picture quality. The new LED-lit Samsung LCDs look pretty sweet but they're about twice the price.

But there are some other sweet deals coming down the pike this year...

    Regards,

Default Return of the $800 50-inch plasma

Yep, both WalMart and Sears had the $799 Samsung plasma on Black Friday. WalMart listed the item online but seems like they never really had stock, but Sears had stock of it all day (while their site was working) into the wee hours of the morning. It's still on the site now but the price has gone up from $799 to $899:

    Helluva deal!
