    Default Need advice on projector

We would like to project a 16' x 9' image of various line drawings on the wall of our well lit shop. What kind of projector will this require? We are considering painting the area with ScreenGoo. We could build a type of awning over the screen area to shade it from the bright fluorescents on the ceiling, if necessary.
    TIA

Goo is great for home theaters, but it has, at best, unity gain so it isn't going to really work well in a bright environment unless you get a really bright projector. You might want to look into the DNP Supernova screens as they are extremely high gain (I think upwards of 3X?) so they hold up well to ambient light. Also, look at the business (pro) projector models instead of the consumer home theater projectors. Home theater projectors look better for movies (generally speaking) but they tend to have lower overall light output. The commercial grade projectors typically have higher brightness for use in conference rooms. There are a few models from Eiki, Sanyo, Optoma that might work for your purposes without getting super expensive.

But these business models normally have either a 4:3 or 16:10 native output format to match the output of most laptops. Is 16:9 required or would 16:10 be OK? Are you going to be displaying these images from a computer? If so, maybe 16:10 is a better bet?

    Default Projection on wall

I don't think that it's a good idea of using walls instead of getting your self a screen!
Walls can never give you the image quality/ the color quality as a screen can.. you better opt for a screen!
