I have been trying to connect my comcast and my ps3 to my HD projector and my Pioneer VSX D557 receiver. The receiver is a little older so it doesnt have any hdmi inputs. I have HDMI from the comcast box to the projector and hdmi from my PS3 to the projector ( connected with a splitter) and the picture looks great. I am also connecting a digital optical cable from both the comcast box and the ps3 to the receiver. The audio works great from the comcast box to the receiver but i am having trouble with the audio from the ps3. I switched the audio from the ps3 to go through the digital optical cable but am still not hearing audio. Thoughts?
