Hi there,
I'm new to this forum so this is my first post. I"m a bit of a rookie when it comes to home theater setup but I'll give it a go and hope that maybe someone can help me out. So my problem is that the TV we have (we inherited it when we bought this condo) is a Samsung HDTV w/o any HDMI inputs so I'm having to run everything through component cables via my receiver.
The tv is mounted on a wall and the cables come through a different ajoining wall about 15 feet away so it's not possible to run any cable directly to the tv w/o using this crazy wire setup that the previous owner of this house did. He was good enoguh though to have all the audio and video cables from the tv to come out of the wall which is where I'm connectiong my receiver up to.
I'm trying to connect up my ps3 to the receiver to give me video/audio through the tv. Whether I use the HDMI input on my ps3 to connect to my receiver or use the composite video/audio cables I get no video feed or audio at all. I'm at a loss and stumped on what I need to do. Can anyone possibly help me out?
