    Actually i have heard people briefing the best way to connect to the group of monitors connected together

    a KVM switch is purely a switch so you can have one monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to multiple computers, in my server room saves on clutter and millions of wires.
    It tricks the computer into thinking that all these items are still connected even when its in use by another computer.
    Cannot be used to join multiple screens to a computer if thats what your wondering....
