    Default integra 30.1 receiver settings

I have the integra 30.1 receiver with one center speaker, two front speakers, and two rear speakers, and a subwoofer. What is the best settings for a dvd where you can get the surround speakers to come into play. There are so may different listening modes and it is hard to figure out which one to use. Any advice

Well there is no "best" setting for DVDs or Blu-rays. Since most DVDs do have a 5.1 surround track, you could go with "Direct" for an unprocessed representation of what's on the disc. Or you can explore the THX settings if you want to get a more "theatrical" sound. When I'm watching Netflix streaming content or other 2-channel matrixed surround content I usually go with Dolby Pro Logic II Movie. When listening to CDs or radio, I'll use All Channel Stereo for party listening or pure stereo or PLII Music for "serious" listening.

But really the modes are there so you have choices so check out a few and see which you prefer.
