Hey there, thanks for taking the time to write in. As regards the SH-FX70 wireless adapter, have you tried eBay? I've picked up my share of accessories there over the years, and saved a few dollars in the process.

If that doesn't work out, I'd call the Panasonic Customer Service 800 # directly, 1-800-211-PANA (7262). They should be able to direct you to the replacement for the SH-FX70 -- if there is one -- or provide other helpful suggestions.

In addition to finding the Panasonic SH-FX70 on eBay, you might consider going with a generic wireless speaker adapter like the Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit (RF-WHTIB). This is a two-piece system, transmitter and receiver/amplifier, that works with any A/V receiver and speakers or HTiB system including yours. If your system has proprietary connectors on the ends of the wires then you might need to use those connectors from the Panasonic system to the transmitter and use generic speaker wires from the wireless receiver/amp to the speakers. Here's a link to the Rocketfish kit at BestBuy.com (you can have it shipped or pick it up in store). It sells for around $110, which is less than the Panasonic kit:

If you want a higher end option, JBL also makes a wireless kit for about twice the price:

JBL WEM-1 Wireless Expansion Module (Black)

    Hope that helps.

I know this is old news, but some of us, like me, took advantage of Panasonic's Clearance (though we didn't know it) and purchased the Best Buy Dream package, that included a 50" 1080p 600Hz HDTV, with a SC-BT200 Blu-Ray, 7.1 Digital audio, that is now discontinued. Good luck getting anything for the 200 Blu-Ray system at this point, including wireless transceivers. I don't use my system every day, as I travel, so there is not much wear and tear. but c'mon. I bought this system 18 months ago, and I can't (I thought) even get compatible accessories for it, like the SH-FX70.

But I did find it, although I sucked up the last ones from one (B&H) and another (computeruniverse, Deutsch). I actually went back to these sites, and it seems that I found the very last ones they had in stock. Sorry dude. Here in March 2011, these devices are still available, but not for long I fear.

This being said, I paid a lot for a device that can't be more than 3 years old in design, let alone chinese manufacturing. This shit reminds me of the apple proprietary conundrum. Look, I am 37 years old, and for something I bought a year and a half ago to be considered obsolete by a huge corporation like Panasonic to me sounds ludicrous at best. Maybe they are trying to do away with aftermarket by keeping up with software technologies, not sure yet. I learned the lesson, hope you do too friend.

Yeah, it's a little odd that they change these things so much over time that they are no longer compatible with older units. You would like to think they are making improvements but who knows? If you're trying to make rear speakers wireless, there are 3rd party solutions for that like the rocketfish amp:

    http://www.amazon.com/Rocketfish-Wir...0988512&sr=1-1

It takes two speaker outputs of any receiver or HTIB and sends the signal to a remote wireless amp. You then plug any speakers into it and poof, wireless rear speakers. Oops, looks like that's been discontinued too. Doh.

Tell me about it. Last year's Samsung 3D TVs use an IR emitter for the glasses. This year's Samsung 3D TVs use Bluetooth to communicate with the glasses. Definitely an improvement - more stable link, less bluky receiver module, etc. - but that means last year's glasses don't work with this year's TVs (and this year's glasses don't work with last year's TVs). All in the name of progress!
